Québec-Mexico bilateral Research Program

Fonds de recherche du Québec - Nature et technologies16-Nov-2017 - Dr Pagliaro has delivered today to the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Nature et technologies the evaluation report of an important research project submitted by Québec-based and Mexico-based scholars in the context of Québec-Mexico bilateral collaborative Research Program.

"Your appraisal will help the members of the joint Quebec-Mexico committee make the best possible granting decision", wrote officers of the FRQ to the scholar based in Sicily.

Québec and Mexico have established this bilateral collaborative research program in an effort to leverage scientific excellence and support researchers in Mexico and Québec in the development of innovative joint research programs. By Combining the respective strengths and expertise, collaboration is aimed to achieve important scientific advances in the short and medium terms in the priority fields of sustainable development, environment and climate change, advanced manufacturing, public health and aging, and cultural industries.

The call for proposals is jointly led by Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología in Mexico and Fonds de recherche du Québec in Canada.

"This appointment -- says Dr Pagliaro -- fuirther recognises scientific excellence in Sicily, where our research groups has operated for almost twenty years across the world's leading countries in science".

Dr Pagliaro sits frequently on international PhD evaluation committees and regularly evaluates research projects for leading research agencies including the French Research Agency, the Royal Society, Israel Science Foundation, Pazi Foundation, US-Israel Binational Science Foundation, Research Foundation - Flanders, Estonian Research Council, Poland National Science Centre, German Academic Exchange Service and ACS Petroleum Research Fund.
