PhD Students at Masdar Institute Sought

Abu Dhabi, 29-Sept-2014 - The new resarch Group of Professor Giovanni Palmisano at Masdar Institute of Science and Technology is seeking PhD candidates willing to join a young, dynamic Group led by newly appointed assistant professor of chemical engineering.

Tuition provided by the Institute includes an apartment inside the campus, all the needed books, a laptop, a medical insurance and a monthly salary (have a look at the rules to be admitted to PhD programme in Masdar Institute).

Professor Palmisano in one of the emerging scientists in chemical engineering applied to pollution prevention as well as in nanochemistry and solar energy.

The Masdar Institute is located in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, but also 45 minutes far from Dubai. It is a young research oriented academic institution founded few years ago in cooperation with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), hosting Faculty and Students from all over the world (local students are ca. 40%).

The requisites to be admitted include a high GPA (at least 3.2/4.0), an English certificate (IELTS or TOEFL), and a general examination certificate (GRE). It is possible to benefit of a GRE waiver only if the candidate has coauthored 1-2 papers in international journals or books of abstracts of international conferences.
