Established in Cambridge, Massachussets, in late 2006, the
Journal
of Visualized Experiments publishes peer reviewed scientific
articles illustrated by professional videos.
Abstracted and indexed by all major research databases, including
WoS, the journal operates a
Videographer
Network. Please use the
videographer
tool to check if your location or institution is within the
network.
Authors outside the network are still welcome to contribute;
however, they will need to provide raw footage for JoVE to edit.
Covering the
video production and publication costs, there
is a publication fee (for a method or
research article)
of 2,400 USD (subscription access) or 4,200 USD (open access). The
publication fee for a
review article is 1,200 USD
(standard access) or 2,100 USD (open access).
JoVE provides a partial fee waiver only to authors from one of
these
fee
waiver eligible nations. For authors belonging to these
nations, the publication fees are 700 USD (subscription access)
and 1,950 USD (open access).
Authors receive their
own copy of the high-quality video
that they can share freely on their website and use for
presentations, conferences, teaching and training.
One example of published JoVE video article is "
Fractionation
of Lignocellulosic Biomass using the OrganoCat Process".
