Pagliaro has been named Highly Ranked Scholar,
last five years, all fields of scholar's endeavor, by ScholarGPS,
a data science company that operates a large research database of
over 200 million publications and 3 billion citations to rank over
30 million scholars and 55,000 institutions worldwide.
Highly Ranked Scholars are
those with ScholarGPS Ranks of 0.05% or better amid all
scholars worldwide ranked on the basis of productivity
(number of publications), impact (citations), and papers of
highest impact (h-index).
Ranked 4,023 amid all scholars in all
fields, Dr Pagliaro has been awarded Highly Ranked Scholar status
based on his accomplishments over the prior five years
(2019-2023). Prior Five Years HRS are eminent authors (active,
retired, and deceased) whose Top Percentage Ranks places them in
the top 0.05% of all scholars due to their scholarly contributions
in the following four categories: Overall (All Fields), with
respect to their specific Field, with respect to their specific
Discipline, and with respect to all Specialties with which they
are associated.
Previously, Dr Pagliaro had been
ranked Highly Ranked
Scholar, last five years, all fields of scholar's
endeavor, for the 20018-2022 prior five years period (ranked 4,835
amid all scholars in all fields).
Italy's Reseach Council (the
CNR) has only 2 scholars in the HRS 2024 five year ranking for
Italy: Mario Pagliaro and Mario Coccia. T
Together, in 2021 Pagliaro and
Coccia co-authored a
study on CNR scientific performance between 2000 and 2019,
that rapidly became a knowledge tool widely used across the world
to inform research policy strategies and managerial work at public
research institutions.
