Matteo Formenti granted a PhD in Industrial Chemistry

Matteo Formenti defending his
          PhD Thesis on March 31, 2026, at the University of Milan31-Mar-2026 - Today PhD candidate Matteo Formenti successfully defended his doctoral Thesis "New GO- and RGO-based MORALs and carbene functionalized gold nanoparticles for heterogeneously catalyzed reductions" in front of the Examining Committee for the PhD in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Milan, Italy.

The defense took place at the Dept. of Chemistry of Milan's University (Room G10, via Golgi 19).

Matteo presented the outcomes of three years of intense and truly successful research work, partly conducted also in the USA in the Lab of Professor Bert Chandler,

Members of the Committee Professors Francesco Ferretti, University of Milan, Dmitry Yu Murzin, Åbo Akademi University, and Gianvito Vilè, Polythecnic of Milan, mentioned "excellent" in their report to the University recommending granting of the PhD title to Dr Formenti.

Tutors of the PhD candidate were Professor Cristina Della Pina, University of Milan, and Mario Pagliaro, Italian Research Council.
