'Sicily is well known for the achievements of Sicilian scientists who developed their career abroad or in northern Italy. It is less common to learn that research carried out in Sicily is attracting global interest. Once more, I wish to share this achievement with former and current co-workers with whom I had the privilege to work.”

Dr Pagliaro's research Group contributions to the fields of nanochemistry, catalysis, green chemistry, solar energy and bioeconomy developed in co-operation with leading researchers based in more than 20 countries are published in over 300 research papers.
