SiliCycle has started commercialization of SiliaCat® TEMPO, our solid oxidizing catalyst introduced in the company's product catalogue 2008 (pp 61 and 72; PDF).
Our article in OPRD, in which we show how SiliaCatTEMPO can efficiently replace homogeneous TEMPO and its derivatives in the oxidation of a wide variety of alcohols to valued carbonyls (or carboxylic acids), is consistently among the most downloaded from the publishing server.
Canada's company SiliCycle is the world's market leader of functionalized silica gels.
Focus on SiliaCat® TEMPO took place in Milan at the CPhi 07 (October 2-3-4) will again be on spot in New Orleans at Informex 08 (Jan 29-Feb 1, 2008). SiliCycle's Ceo Hugo St-Laurent and R&D director François Beland visited the MPL in Palermo early last October aiming to further joint development of the new 2007 heterogeneous catalyst familly SiliaCat®.
