Roald Hoffmann writes to me from Ithaca:"I wish you well in your new institute; I like what you are trying to do, combining ethics and methodology (not clear to me what you mean by the latter) with scientific research".
Methodology in the sense of the lesson taught to us by Paul Feyerabend, Roald.
A critical discussion on scientific method which, when is carried out historically like Paul did in his Against Method (1974), leads to surprising conclusions that -- to us -- should betaught to young scientists.
We will do that in a short international master entitled to Paul himself. Lectures will be held in English in the nice "Villa Cattolica" located in Bagheria (a city near Palermo) wherethe great painter Renato Guttuso is buried and where a striking permanent collection of his paintings is permanently exhibited.
Teachers at the master include myself, theoretical physicist Ignazio Licata (back from 10 years in the US) and many great foreign scientists and philosophers.
Ciao, Roald!
