Giovanni Palmisano starts working with Marisa Ferrer at Madrid's Csic Institute of Materials during a Ph.D. started in our Lab. Giovanni (here depicted before colleagues start eating his Tiramisu...) shall work on a variety of beatiful applications of sol-gel ORMOSIL.

No better place than Madrid, Giovanni!

Marisa Ferrer, Francisco Del Monte, David Levy, Marcos Zayat and several other great Spanish chemists are giving impressive contributes to the advancement of sol-gel chemistry.

Besides, Madrid is a fabulous city where a guy from Palermo will breathe the air of a different approach to life and work, which probably takes the best of both northern and southern European lifestyles.

We are very proud of you all.
